Start from a description, not a blank page

A blank CV template is where most people give up. So you do not start with one. Write a few lines about what you have studied and built, however roughly, and the builder turns it into proper sections with proper bullet points. Spelling and grammar do not matter at that stage.

What comes back is a draft, not a finished CV. You read it, fix what is wrong, and fill in the details only you know. That distinction matters more here than on other resume tools, and the next section explains why.

We will not invent things about you

• Every number on your CV is one you gave us, or a blank in [brackets] for you to fill in.
• We never add an employer, a course, a tool or a project you did not mention.
• If you built something with a team, it still says you built it with a team.
• If you tell us very little, you get a short CV and a list of questions, not a padded page.

There is a self-interested reason for this, and it is worth saying out loud. Moxaim also runs the mock interview where you have to defend what your CV claims. A tool that inflates your resume and then tests you on it would be selling you a failure twice.

Built for the filter before the human

Most applications are read by parsing software before a recruiter sees them, and that software is defeated by the things that make a CV look designed: columns, tables, text boxes, icons, headers, graphics. So the builder does not offer any of them.

• One column, so the reading order is never ambiguous.
• Standard section headings, the words a parser looks for.
• Plain text bullets, no glyphs or graphics to misread.
• A common font, black on white, no colour to lose in a print.
• One page, with a live warning when you spill onto a second.

You get no font picker and no template gallery, and that is the point. An ATS-safe CV has no such decisions to make, so there is nothing here to get wrong.

It checks your CV as you write it

A panel beside the page tells you what is still weak, updating as you type and costing nothing:

• Missing contact details, or an email address that is not valid.
• Bullets with no numbers in them, which is where most CVs actually lose.
• Bullets that run past two lines, and a summary longer than anyone reads.
• A role with no dates, and roughly how many pages you are heading for.

It reports only what is objectively true of your text. It will not tell you your writing is "impactful", because that is not something we can honestly measure for you.

Then find out if you can defend it

When the CV is done you can make it the one on your account, and Mox will interview you on it: the projects you listed, the choices you made, the gaps a recruiter would poke at. You get a score and a written report on how well you held up.

That loop is the whole reason this builder exists. Writing a good CV gets you the interview. It is the part after that most people are not ready for.

What it costs

The builder is free. Writing, editing, the live checks and the PDF download cost nothing and always will. The AI rewrites have a daily limit, which is there to stop the tool being used as a general text generator rather than to sell you anything.
